Pedal to the Metal from Night Owl Quilting


I have always loved batik fabrics.  I had originally used these fabrics when making the cover quilt for the Highway 10 Designs "Not Your Mother's Rail Fence" patternSee it here.  I had some good sized pieces remaining.   I had just the right amounts of these these fabrics to put together this Pedal to the Metal quilt - another Highway 10 Designs pattern.


This pattern utilizes strip piecing and there are no points to match so it really comes together quickly and is a relaxing sew.  I chose the Cinnamon Swirl pantograph which shows up wonderfully on the purple Cuddletex ...

Pedal to the Metal - King Size! from Night Owl Quilting


This quilt was made by daughter Kyla as a gift for her Mother-in-law and Father-in-law.  Kyla knew she wanted to use one of our Highway 10 Designs patterns and after going fabric shopping decided to go the Pedal to the Metal.


This quilt is a generous King Size coming in at 110" x 110"   The fabrics are some Northcott favorites - a Stonehenge mixer and a Canvas to match.


Kyla selected the Tickle pantograph which adds some softness and movement.

Pedal to the Metal in Simply Neutral 2 from Tamarack Shack


I'm not normally drawn to Black and White quilts but when I saw Northcott's new Simply Neutral 2 line on Keystone Modern Creative's website I had to order it!   I knew that I wanted to make our Highway 10 Designs patterns called Pedal to the Metal with this line as a few years ago I quilted a similar one for a friend that was fabulous.  You can see it here
